Conference Venue
The conference takes place in the Dingle Skellig Hotel and Conference Centre. This 110 bedroom hotel with conference and leisure facilities includes the Peninsula Spa and sits on the shore of Dingle's harbour.

Dingle, Daingean Ui Cuish, is a small town on the South West Coast of Ireland and cited by National Geographic as "Outstanding area of Natural Beauty". Probably the most westerly conference venue in Europe the town is less than an hour from the nearest airport, Kerry International.
The Dingle Peninsula is part of the 1553 miles of the Wild Atlantic Way, one of the worlds longest, continual, costal routes.

Accommodation is NOT INCLUDED in the meeting registration.

  • We have secured rooms at the conference hotel, Dingle Skellig Hotel, if you chose to stay there, which can be booked by emailing this form

Dingle has a wide range of accommodation available to suit every budget and many can be found at If you would like any guidance then please contact us.

Some ideas are (not tested/location recommended):

  • The Skellig is THE CONFERENCE VENUE, situated on the shore of Dingle Harbour and its sister hotel
  • Dingle Benners Hotel, is located a few minutes walk away in the centre of Dingle town.
  • Nearest to the Skellig Hotel Emlagh House and Banbury's B&B
  • B&B/Bar in the town at the top of Main Street, Barr Na Sraide (on +353 (0)66 915 1331
  • The best views are at the top of the town, Dingle Heights and the The Lighthouse Dingle are next door to each other and look out onto the whole bay and harbour.

  • Driving to Ireland from Scotland, England and Wales. You can get a ferry into Belfast, Dublin and Wexford. Crossing times are as short as 1 hour 50 minutes (Irish Ferries, Holyhead/Dublin Port Swift ferry).
  • Getting from Dublin. The roads in Ireland are constantly improving. Dublin to Kerry is from 3 hours 40 minutes (that's my best time and without speeding!). It is motorway from Dublin to Limerick which is less than 2 hours, then A and B roads to Dingle for the remaining time.
  • Getting from Wexford. Our recommended route is via Waterford/Cork/Macroom/Killarney/Milltown and follow the signs for Dingle. Again I usually do in under 4 hours on this route and the first half is motorway.
  • From Cork Airport: on a clear run 2 1/4 hours but allow up to 3 if going for a flight - there are traffic hot spots near the airport and on-going road works along the route which can slow the journey.

The nearest airport is Kerry Airport, just 30 miles from Dingle. This is serviced with

  • 2 connecting flights from Dublin Airport with AerLingus (
  • 1 flight each day from London Stansted and Luton, and Frankfurt Hahn all with RyanAir (
All of these services can be booked on-line through the appropriate airline.
we offer a shuttle service (See 'Airport Transfer' from Kerry Airport to Dingle

Cork and Shannon airports are both approximately a 2 1/2-3 hour road journey from Dingle but can be more convenient as they offer more direct services from, amongst others, Birmingham, Liverpool and Heathrow. We would recommend Cork as the next choice to Kerry.

Meeting (casual); Free-time (the weather is very unpredictable at the beginning of October ? we have had a broad mixture in the past few years. Dingle can be a little wet and windy but is usually not very cold so we recommend water-proof coats (just in case!).

Sturdy walking boots, appropriate, riding clothes highly recommended if hoping to participate in these activities outside of Conference times or if extending your trip. If you do not have the correct clothing for activities you may not be able to join in.
