Dr Dermot Phelan (2009, 2013)

Dermot Phelan, trained in Intensive Care in Australia and is a consultant in Intensive Care Medicine and in Anaesthesia at the Mater University Hospital, Dublin. He is an ex-president of the Intensive Care Society of Ireland. As chair of the ESICM?s Division of Professional Development, he had an active role in the development of the EDIC examination and is a member of the European Board of Intensive care Medicine. Publications relate to Critical Care practise and training and include an interest in Critical Care quality including Caring for the Dying as a quality indicator for Intensive Care. He is editor in chief of PACT, the distance learning Critical Care programme.
